Bilateral cooperation agreement between the Department of Public Health Policy of the School of Public Health, University of West Attica (UniWA) with the Delegation in Greece of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)

In a particularly constructive atmosphere, a meeting of representatives of the Department of Public Health Policy of the School of Public Health of the University of West Attica with the representatives of the Delegation in Greece of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) was held on September 20, 2023 for the signing of a bilateral Cooperation Agreement.

The subject of the Cooperation Agreement concerns synergies in implementing and promoting actions on migration, health of migrant populations, health in detention, gender issues, unaccompanied minors and issues of inclusion and exclusion.

The Rector of the University of West Attica Professor Panagiotis Kaldis welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of this collaboration which serves the strategic goal of the UniWA for the effective use of scientific knowledge for the benefit of the society. On behalf of the Department of Public Health Policy, Elpida Pavi Professor and Dean of the School of Public Health, the Head of the Department Professor Nair-Tonia Vassilakou and Assistant Professor Theodoros Fouskas, participated at the meeting. Mr. Sebastian Bustos, Protection Coordinator and Dr. Anastasia Papachristou, Detention Doctor participated on behalf of the Delegation in Greece of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). After the signing of the agreement a working meeting was held with the Vice Rector of International Affairs and Extroversion of the UniWA Professor Theodoros Xanthos.
