The Department of Public Health Policies, of the School of Public Health, the University of West Attica, as the successor of the National School of Public Health (Law 4610/2019) has unique educational experience, experienced staff, expertise in the preparation of postgraduate programs and academic tradition 95 years in public health. Graduates of the Master’s Programs of the National School of Public Health have worked and are working on important policy, strategy and intervention positions in the community, public and private health sectors, as well as in non-governmental organizations in Greece and internationally.
Tackling public health problems and managing and managing health services is one of the main challenges for the whole of Europe. An “aging” continent with safety priorities, quality and equality require a significant mobilization of resources, but, above all, of intellectual and scientific resources. We expect our students to develop those skills that will enable them to understand the complex nature of the problems arising in the field of public health and at the same time to be able to propose alternative actions for the continuous improvement of the health system in Greece.
